Sidus Group Unveils Media Rich Website for Extreme Athlete Jim DeChamp

Annapolis, MD (Vocus) March 25, 2009 -- Cast member of MTV’s Nitro Circus, Jim DeChamp, today announced the launch of his new website, JimDeChamp.com. The site, created by Sidus Group of Annapolis, MD, features photo and video galleries of DeChamp’s acclaimed freestyle stunts, as well as behind the scenes footage of the Nitro Circus cast.

"I’m excited to share many of my thrilling adventures traveling, filming, working and hanging with the crew of Nitro Circus," said DeChamp. "The media rich website that Sidus Group created also allows me the opportunity to communicate with the racing community and fans of the show about life as a professional downhill mountain bike racer and freestyle rider."

Although DeChamp’s career in racing began in 1990, his claim to fame came in 2008 at X-Games 14 when he attempted a front flip on a motorcycle that ultimately landed him a broken back. Since then, he’s become the first person to successfully land a front flip on dirt, a stunt he performed while taping the first season of Nitro Circus. "This career is definitely dangerous," said DeChamp "but if you visit my website’s blog you’ll see why I love it so much."

DeChamp began racing BMX bikes in 1990 and started freestyle and dirt jumping in 1996. He won the National Dual Slalom Mountain Bike Championship in 1999 and soon after began attempting stunts.
